the ocean

Me, the boys, and my mom are at the ocean for 3 nights. Here are a few pictures from our first day.

Justin made a video for the boys to watch while he is gone. It is very interactive, Justin goes through the ABC's, counting, animal noises and more with Judah. This is a video of Judah watching it on my computer.

adoption

We found out that to adopt from India you have to be 30.
We are not 30.
Somehow the information I found on the internet is different from what is in the paperwork.
But a positive thing is that originally we thought we could only have 2 kids already in the house, but in the paperwork it says that we can have 3 kids in the home.

So...

We have a little under 4 years until we will both be old enough. We want 5 kids and we wanted them close together. This puts a pretty big hurdle in our plans.

We will (hopefully) have one more kid in the next few years and then still plan on adopting from India as soon as Justin turns 30(he's younger than me). Then we will get pregnant as soon as we get our little girl from India. Then our family will be complete. :)

I am almost ready to be pregnant again. (I know. I think I have something wrong with me. I could be the crazy lady that just keeps having babies!) We will probably wait awhile though so we don't have a gap between this next one and our little one from India.

That is my update. A bunch of people have asked so I hope that all made sense to everyone. I am pretty frustrated about it. It is horrible to me that there are so many little kids in orphanages in India. I consider us to be good and loving parents. We are a stable family. And we would love to bring a little girl into our family, but because we aren't 30 we can't.

today

Here are a few pictures from our day.

Cohen took his nap in our bed today. When I went and checked on him I found Crowder curled up next to him. So cute!
Don't worry, I kept checking on them after that so Crowder didn't smother him. :)


We went to Uncle Dano's soccer game this afternoon and Cohen got plopped down on the couch while we unloaded the car. He was really pitiful, so I had to take these pictures.

I had a hard time with the bunny ears on the boys. They were too big for Cohen and Judah didn't want to keep them on his head...so this is the best I got.




I've been shooting my pictures in manual and raw. I think that top picture is still in raw and I haven't done the adjustments on it yet. I'm too lazy to do it and then repost it, but I think you get the idea. :)

favorites

I no longer have my favorite blogs listed on the side. Just wanted to let you all know my reason so no one takes offense. :)

Justin puts a lot of personal information on his blog that relates to (mostly) youth things. Such as when he will be out of town, regular nights of the week he is gone, etc. I decided that for the safety of me and the boys I needed to remove the link to his blog. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to find his blog or to figure out that we are connected. But I figured this was a good step to take.

I post a lot of pictures on my blog and want to continue to do that. It is a great way to share what is going on in our lives with friends and family, especially those far away. There are too many weirdos out there, and you never know what people might decide to do. Plus my boys are cute, so who wouldn't want them. :)

I couldn't have my favorite blogs linked and not include my husband, so that is why they all are gone. Hope you all understand. :)

clothing swap

I was reading one of the many blogs I read and came across a great idea. A clothing swap. Anyone interested? I'll plan it if people will come. Maybe we can use C3, what do you think Justin? I was thinking girls only. Sorry guys. And double sorry guys cause you have to keep the kids. :)

new sins

Okay, I have to admit I don't fully understand what this article says. For some reason it was really confusing to me. But the overall idea of it is amazing. Apparently the vatican (is that supposed to be capitalized?) added new sins to "the list". So don't worry, if you've done drugs or polluted up until now you're all good. But you had better change your act quick cause it just became a sin.


Then again, maybe I completely misunderstood it.

tugga-tugga

Judah's newest word is tugga-tugga (chugga-chugga) choo choo. It is really cute. When you see him be sure to ask him to say it for you!

We finally decided on a Marathon for Cohen. I would tell you all my reasons why we choose that, but I am sure you are all tired of hearing about car seats from me!


I found a new blog to read. I got so into it that I was late to church this morning. Oops.

I got some new cloth diapers. I really like them. I've decided to put Judah into cloth at night because he has finally given up his night-time bottle. He has even woken up dry a few times. Serious potty training may be in our near future.

I planted my spinach and peas awhile ago, and now I have little plants starting to sprout up.

I have been playing with some pictures on Photoshop. I like the way this one turned out, but I don't know how to make Judah's face look better. It looks funny, mostly under his eyes. It is more noticeable bigger, but you can kind of see it at this size. I like the way the rest of it looks. Any ideas?



Judah tried to feed Cohen fish pretzels and cheerios this weekend. That will teach me to leave them alone in the play room for 5 minutes. Luckily none made it into his mouth. Judah had the best of intentions. He's already a great little helper boy. He loves to get brothers Larry, wipe his face, and cover him up with a blanket. It's pretty sweet.

I think thats all I've got for now.

elevators

If you know me then you probably know that I hate elevators.

If you don't know me, then I'll sum it up really quick for you. While I was in India I got stuck in a elevator for around 45 minutes. I hated every minute of it. And it produced in me a fear of elevators, flying, and all kinds of other things that are really inconvenient to be afraid of.

Seattle is not a place to be afraid of elevators. Unfortunately most buildings are higher than you want to walk up stairs. And with kids I usually have a stroller, so no stairs for me. I can't even count how many elevators I was in over the time we were in Seattle. And I am proud to say I think I am over my fear of elevators. Hooray for me! I still don't love them, but I no longer have minor panic attacks the whole time I am in them. Yes, it was that bad. Just ask Justin.

5 years later I have overcome my fear. Finally.

Now I just have to work on my fear of flying. Yikes.

friends

I like that Judah is getting to the age where he has friends. He looks at them with such innocent adoration, in his eyes they could do no wrong.




I'm also glad that at this age we get to choose his friends!
