project time

I saw this project on this blog (if you haven't looked at her blog you need to do it NOW!) and I loved the idea but I never thought I'd come across a pallet. Well lucky me, Justin's been putting in a lawn and irrigation system at his moms property and when we went to visit him guess what I found...a pallet! Yay!

I'm excited to hang these shelves up and decide what I'm going to put in them! We were able to get 3 shelves out of the one pallet.

We're also working on a outside table from her website. It should be finished in the next couple of days and I'll be sure to post pictures when it's done. I'm really excited to see how it turns out. If it's a success I have several more projects from the blog I want to try!

bumps and scratches

I think most people can gauge how much we've been playing outside by the wounds on my children! Judah's latest is pretty good, he fell on one of the cement garden blocks and scratched up his face and leg. From a separate incident he also has a scratched up shoulder, Justin took him to Bark and Garden center with him and let Judah push the cart. Apparently Judah was running with the cart, fell down, and the cart ran him over. I'm hoping both father and son learned their lesson there! :)

Once summer really gets here I am sure we will have more owies. Crossing my fingers for another year of no ER visits! Although maybe we should all take bets on how many black eyes we'll have this summer, my kids seem to be pretty good at getting those!

science project

A couple of weeks ago we planted green bean seeds in ziplock bags. The boys each had a bag and they got cotton balls wet and then pushed a seed into each cotton ball and we sealed up the bag and taped it to the window. Then they got to decorate our window with glass markers, they love it when I get them out I think it feels a little adventurous to be able to color on the windows!

We had fun watching the progress of our growing seeds, the clear bags made it perfect for viewing the little growing roots. Yesterday we decided it was time to plant our seedlings. We put them in a special pot so the boys will be able to continue watching their own green beans grow.

art walk

Yesterday my mom and I took Cohen and Jax over to the Procession of the Species. (Judah wasn't feeling well so he stayed home with Justin.) They loved it!

earth day

We had a busy day celebrating Earth Day on Thursday.

We ate at my favorite restaurant in Olympia i.talia. If you haven't eaten there you need to check it out. Kids can make their own pizza and that's a highlight with our kids!

We went and saw the movie "Oceans".

We played at the park.

We also were going to plant a tree in our front yard but the one we wanted wouldn't fit in our van so Justin has to go back and get it!

I'm pretty sure this is Jax's way of telling us he had a good day!

cohen and clifford

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite picture of Cohen. Ever.

It pretty much sums up his whole life, he tries so hard to be a big boy and yet things like this always happen to him!

He did adjust his hat for his next picture. And I have to give him credit for being brave, Judah wouldn't go anywhere near Clifford.

choo-choo

The boys are finding all kinds of things around our house to use as a train. Their latest train was lawn chairs. Cohen likes to be the engine and Judah is either the caboose or the tender car. Clever kids.

kids

I love this kid.

This is what it looks like when Judah dresses himself. I let the 2 big boys dress themselves now. It makes my day easier and it always makes me laugh to see what they wear!

Happy Birthday Baby Jax!

I can't believe he's ONE! This year has flown by.
