a cohen crash

Cohen had a crash yesterday. We're not sure what he did, he was in our bedroom by himself so it's anyone's guess what he was doing in there! He is definitely our accident prone child! It's way more swollen in person, I was worried that his nose was broken but Justin was sure he was fine...and he is definitely full force Cohen today so I guess he is fine!

I like to play store with Judah just so I can hear him say, "how are you doing today mam?" when I pay him for my groceries. It makes all the work of setting up our store and then cleaning it up worthwhile!

Project: Completed

Remember the shelves we made from the shipping pallet? (See post here) We hung and filled the shelves today. Justin was worried they would be too rustic in the house, so we decided on outside filled with plants. I love how they turned out!



I filled these 2 with herbs and I have one more to fill. I got a cute plant for Mother's Day and now I'm searching for similar plants to go in with it.

sunshine play time

How old is to old to play in the backyard naked? Justin says 8. I'm not sure many 8 year olds would be up for playing in the yard naked, but I guess you never know. Judah and Cohen were playing in the sprinkler and pool naked on Friday and I couldn't decide if Judah was too old or not. He is so tall and looks like such a "kid" now that I'm not sure he can get away with it because he's not a baby anymore...But...it's also just our backyard, and he doesn't seem to mind playing naked, and I don't want him to feel embarrassed about being naked. Do we just wait for him to feel awkward about it??? But I think boundaries are also really important too. Hmmm...I'm not sure on this one!

I got some really cute picture of the boys playing, but even though you couldn't tell they were naked I couldn't bring myself to post them. Maybe that's reason enough for me to put some clothes on them. :) Instead here's a picture of Jax after Judah sprayed him with the hose. Jax isn't a fan of water and cold water being shot at him is something he is especially not fond of. He also gets the shakes really bad when he's scared and this definitely scared him, poor kid!

For my date with Cohen we went to the huff and puff. It was his idea...second of course to Chuck e cheese! He has better date etiquette than Judah, he insisted on holding my hand the majority of the time. Although he did have to stop to pick up every stick he saw and stand on every stump and yell "king of the mountain"! I love this kid!





Whenever I say "say cheese" to Cohen, this is the face I get. He is such a goof!

judah date

I had dates with both of the big boys earlier this week. On my Judah date we went to get a hot chocolate and then went to play at the park. I was amazed at how easy it was to keep track of only one kid at the park!

I often forget how important one on one time with the boys is. When we do get to take that time with them they absolutely love being the center of attention and I can tell it makes them feel really special and important. Unfortunately on our date Judah told me, "mom, I think we should stop talking now." He hasn't gotten the full grasp on date etiquette yet!

I made these today and they were amazing! I don't know what this calorie counting girl was thinking when I was making cupcakes, but thankfully one cupcake totally satisfied my sweet tooth!
