Jax had his first check-up today. Everything is fine and he's gaining weight on schedule.

Jax's birth story

I had my first contraction at 1:30 Thursday night (technically Friday morning). We got to the hospital and I was admitted at 3:49 and Jax was born at 4:48. It was extremely fast and extremely intense, the last hour of it my contractions were back to back with absolutely no break in between. I pushed through (maybe) 3 contractions. There really aren't many more details to share...I'm glad we didn't have to drive to Olympia or it's very possible he could have been born in the car. I'm also glad I knew what real contractions felt like or I would have second guessed myself about going in when we did.

Sprinklers and ice cream cones...I'm looking forward to this summer.

sunday afternoon

Justin took Judah on his first canoe ride yesterday. Judah did great! I wasn't sure if he would like it or if he would sit still in the boat, but he did it and loved it.


Even Cohen got to go for a short ride, he wasn't as thrilled about the experience though.

Then the boys splashed around in the water for awhile.

Cohen got pretty brave.

Then he had a crash. Poor kid.

So he had to ride home naked!

Don't worry, Jax came along for the ride too!

Stay tuned for more pictures and details of the birth (it was really short), but I had to get our first family portrait up here. It makes me laugh. What in the world are we going to do with 3 little boys under the age of 3??? :) What an adventure!

Since my mom is on spring break this week we took the boys to the local school one afternoon so they could ride their bikes and play. It was chilly out though, we're ready for some warm weather!
