I vote red because it seems like you. This might be because you have a lot of red in your house. I saw a house the other day with a really pretty dark blue/navy door. Colored doors are in!
how about both! You could have a black and red PLAID door with a little help from tape! :)
Honestly, I'd go with red. Red doors are eye popping and with your door in the shadows, you won't really notice that the color has changed if you paint it black.
I vote red. I have lived in a house that has a red door my whole life. I love our red door. You also will feel sort of bond/connection with other people who live in homes with red doors.

I like red. I have seen a black door and it looked very nice.
