We sure have been enjoying the nice weather. The boys spend a lot of time outside. Poor Cohen overheats really easily so we have lots of popcicles and juice boxes as special treats this summer to keep everyone hydrated.
My garden is doing pretty well. We've had some salads out of it, lettuce, peas, and radishes. The boys love to pick the peas out of the garden to eat. I LOVE that they do that! :) This year we are growing: peas (both snap and sugar), lettuce, carrots, green onions, lima beans, green beans, corn, zucchini, cucumbers, watermelon, and cantelope. That is in addition to our strawberries, rhubarb, and all the berries Justin has planted. Our asian pear tree has lots of little fruits on it so I am hoping that will produce well this year. I wish we had a longer growing season than we do, I am determined to try a winter garden this year. I gave it a half-hearted attempt last year, but this year is going to be the year!

I hate bees. Like really, really hate bees. I am trying not to pass that along to my kids, but I have a really hard time not screaming and running when I see a bee. I am learning to stay calm when we see bees, but this nest had to go. Ick.

Nolan also likes to pick our peas. I love passing on the wonder and enjoyment of gardening. The boys look so cute in their matching underwear.
I have been thinking of a winter garden also. What are you thinking of planting?
