Matching shirts!!! :) So, I am totally not going to be the mom that dresses her kids the same all the time. But I did think these were too cute to pass up. I thought it would be a good photo opp at least. And for $2.99 each, who could resist!
I also got what I think will be Cohen's "come home from the hospital" outfit. I have to check with Justin first to see if he likes it. If so, I will post pictures. I think it is pretty cute. Cohen will mostly get Judah's hand me downs, but I wanted him to have a few new items. And I thought it was important for him to come home from the hospital in something that was only his.
I got my $1 each makeup in the mail today. Here it is:

I haven't tried any of it yet, so I am unsure of the quality. It looks pretty good at this point, especially for $1. And with my code I had it brought it down to .50 each for me. :) Can't beat that!
I was hoping to go to the art night tonight. Judah had other plans. I guess it was a long few days for him. He has been asleep in his crib since 7, I guess he was tired. Hopefully he will sleep good tonight. He woke up at 1 last night again and came to sleep with me. Maybe he thought I was lonely in bed without Justin? :) Luckily he didn't decide 4 was wake-up time again.
Wenatchee was good. It was a nice break and a good time to relax. My mom was really helpful with Judah and was always encouraging me to go float in the pool or lay in the sun. It was nice to not stress about all the household things I need to get done. I knew I was unable to do them from Wenatchee, so I just forgot about them for a few days. I did get some yummy looking peaches to can. I am thinking about doing peach sauce (like applesauce) instead of just slicing and canning. Anyone tried this? We bought some from Trader Joe's and it was really yummy. Hoping to find a recipe online.

so, the only time i've tried "peach sauce" was through beau's baby food :)
i didn't mind it, which means it will be even better in adult food, right?
the art night was pretty cool. i really enjoyed it. kristen and i did some cool sidewalk chalk stuff...justin can explain more :)
i like the matching shirts. they're really cute- they look really big though. maybe you're just zoomed in, or maybe you're planning ahead...
i'm excited to try some of your canned things (if you'll let me :)
me and my mom need to do that or something...
i love seeing matching kids. my mother constantly made us matching clothes...you'd think i'd hate it, but i always think the kids i see dressed that way are so cute!
let me know how the makeup goes. i'm trying to get some very CHEAP ideas for xmas presents...and with 4 sisters...that'd be the perfect thing!!
if you can anything anytime soon, let me know so i can come and watch or help. i haven't canned anything since maryland. my mom used to can everything...even made her own pickles, but doesn't want to mess with it anymore. can you can baby food?
seriously, let me know about the makeup.
ps- art night was pretty great. i was extrememly tired and slighlty annoyed through the whole thing but i blame that on my bad dream.
mmmmm..Peach sauce. Pear sauce is good, too. Canning is so much work, but fun AND pretty. I should do it more. And...Welcome home!!
Glad you have a restful time. Floating in the water sounds totally relaxing...Get me to sunny Eastern WA!! I'm counting down!
The peach sauce sounds really good. And you can tell "the elbow" that if she would stay home long enough WE COULD make yummy things in the kitchen together!! ; )
