The Cruise: Day 3

Our third day of the cruise was also a day at sea, but it was different than the day before because on this day we cruised up Tracey Arm Fjord to Sawyer Glacier at the end of the fjord.

We decided that the lido deck wasn't the best choice for us so we went to the dining room for breakfast. It went much better for us than the buffets did. Plus it's all inclusive so why not have a nice sit down meal?

We spent the morning swimming.Jax couldn't go in the pool because there were no swim diapers allowed. They were salt water pools so they didn't have all the yucky chlorine chemicals in them so only potty trained kids were allowed. No loss to Jax, I don't think he would have liked it anyway!

After swimming we took the boys to the kids club to play for awhile and we headed outside right as we were turning into the fjord. Jax was a tired boy in these pictures!

We picked the boys up from kids club when we got closer to the glacier. I don't think pictures do the glacier justice at all. It's huge!

I wish we had gotten a picture of where Jax was when we took this picture. We had gone out to the front of the ship to get a look at the glacier and Jax was in his stroller so we pushed him right up against the railing so he could look out too. Well we were getting situated to take this picture and people crowded in around Jax to see the glacier, I don't think they even noticed he was there since he was tucked in so nicely under the railing! It still cracks me up to think of him tucked in amongst all the strangers...I wonder what he was thinking!

I thought this ice chunk looked like a potato chip with the ridges on it!

The boys wore their handsome hawaiian shirts for dinner. I had read a lot about the dress codes for the dining room and wasn't sure what to expect. But I saw people in sweat pants in the dining room...so we were definitely dressed fine every night. And I don't think anyone would have cared anyway.

Cohen was so excited to use the water wings in the pool. He loved swimming "all by himself"!

Someday we're going to have to try a cruise. Alaska seems so convenient too!
