I have been having a lot of days lately that I would "label" as good days. I'm not sure if it is the sunny weather, being out of the first trimester of pregnancy, or just having good activities planned...but I am really enjoying my days.
Yesterday me, Liz, Jessica, Shalisa, and the kiddos headed to lacey theaters to watch the Clifford movie. (they offer free movies at 10 on tuesdays, and some other days too, but shhhh....don't tell anyone we don't want it to get too popular!) Judah was really interested for a few minutes, then was really squirmy, and finally fell asleep. It was kind of a uneventful first movie for him, I don't think he had any idea what was going on. But, it was nice for me to get to watch a movie in the theater, even if it was Clifford.
Then we headed to The Mason Jar, minus Liz who went with her mom, and had a great lunch. I had a garden sandwich that I really enjoyed, and Judah did great. (meals out don't always go uninterrupted!) Then off to meet Justin at the library so he and Judah could pick out some books to read for the summer reading program. A nap at home for Judah while I got a few thing around the house done and got to lay down for a bit. Then Justin and I headed to our friends James and Julia's house while my mom stayed with Judah. It was a fun evening of REALLY good food and a silly movie. I have no idea what the movie was called or I would tell you more about it. They gave us some cloth diapers that I am very excited to try out.
So, it was a pretty busy day but filled with very enjoyable things. I am having fun taking Judah places and doing fun things with him this summer, but it also makes me look forward to the days when our kids are older and we can do even more fun stuff with them!

well, that's fun!! I'm glad you ahd such a good time and Judah was such a good boy.
my mom says clothes diapers are yucky... and i would think that too... wouldn't they get ruined...? well, anyway. Thanks for the blog comment and tell your hubby thanks for me too.
I used cloth diapers almost exclusively on my kids when they were babies. It was all we could afford! It was a little more laundry, but much, much cheaper. I used disposables for when we were camping, or going to be on the road for awhile. I did find that cloth diapers leaked more at night and if I could have afforded it, I might have compromised and just used cloth during the day and dispoables at night. After you get the hang of it, they're easy. Just make sure you pin them TIGHT! and if possible, don't dry plastic pants in the dryer...it ruins them pretty fast. Nothing cuter than a baby's cloth-diapered backside! Thanks for the tip about the movies too! but I won't tell anyone! shhh!!
i'm going to hate cloth diapers, and i'll probably make it really difficult on you the whole way, but more importantly, you are an awesome wife and mom.
and your friends are lucky to have you! and you're lucky to have them.
and then now scratch out "you're" and change it to "we".
Sounds like you had fun! I look forward to Nolan being old enough for play dates.
That was nice of your friend to give you some diapers. What kind did she give you?
diaper swappers is a good website to get pre loved diapers.
YAY! we had fun, too...I was telling my mom about the movie today(can't remember the title either.)and igt sounded way funny to her! AND...yes I am biased, but here is a good article in support of cloth diapers for Justin http://www.mothering.com/articles/new_baby/diapers/joy-of-cloth.html
Now you need to write a post pretending to be Judah. It will have to be about the wonderful day he had today all because he saw his auntie Lauree at the coffee shop.
:)
~I love Clifford! Is it still playing? Sounds like a fun movie for me and my Beau.
~I survived cloth diapers and actually loved folding them to fit those adorable little buns.
~You ARE a great mommy and I am so blessed (no luck about it)to watch you doing what comes so naturally to you.
~I love you.
