These are just random things, not really enough to have complete thoughts. Oh, well.
~today i tried to dry my hair and my hair dryer starting sparking everywhere. time for a new hair dryer.
~we finally got the date for our ultrasound. aug 6th. horray!
~my poll on the sex of the baby came back exactly 50/50. weird.
~i checked out a book from the library called "organic suburbanite". i'm pretty excited about it. so far i found a car wash recipe: 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup baby shampoo. add to a bucket of warm water, and you have car wash. fun huh?
~i'm on the lookout for homemade ant killer...anyone know of any?
~it is finally cool enough that i can do some housework without sweating!
~i found a new blog i like (recommended by anita! thank you). eyes of wonder. i am encouraged by other people living "simply".
~we went swimming with ryan, shalisa, and maddie last night. it was wonderful!
when i read back over this i think...who cares about these things! :) i guess if you were too bored you probably didn't make it this far so it wouldn't do any good to apologize!

oh, i want to read that book. sounds really interesting.
Go read my newest blog.
I'm starting to get into the organic thing...
I read it and I care! I wash my hair with baking soda. Sounds bizarre, i know...I just dissolve about a tablespoon of baking soda into a glass of water and wash away...no suds, of course, but it turns out better than when i use shampoo. Lots of things you can clean with baking soda and/or vinegar.
A couple other great websites for simplifying are Homestead.org and goodbyecitylife.com
"Trowel and Error" at the library has great organic recipes. I will have to check out the one you recommended. Don't you just love the library? All the free books you could ever want! Oh, just saw Anita's comment...I clean A LOT with vinegar. It cleans carpet odors and stains, windows, counters, etc. And very inexpensive!
is it interesting how we like to read normal, random things about other peoples' lives? why is it so interesting?! I dont know...
that kind of defeats the purpose of the poll I guess doesnt it, haha. I voted girl. Baby Judah and baby... shoot I forgot your girl name!
I did a quick look online for ant killer...Mothballs and Borax were the most common. both are toxic, though hmmm...
YEAH ORGANIC FOOD!!! the problem is though that the doctors tell you to eat healthy and everyone is trying to go organic but stupid grocery sotres don't sell organic food! and if they do, it's a very small amount in very small amount for A LOT of money. Have you ever been to that organic store downtown? If not, we should check it out on Monday.
also if you rinse your hair in vinegar once a month it makes it shinier....
Use white distilled vinegar to get rid of ants. If you are having trouble with them coming into your house, or other bugs for that matter, whip down your doorways and openings with vinegar, bugs hate it and stay away! :)
Another option is to pour boiling hot water into the nest, seems cruel to me, but it should get rid of the ant problem.
You can use vinegar for lots of stuff, check out http://www.vinegartips.com/
